ONE ASANA PER DAY: WARRIOR I / VIRABHADRASANA I

My Mission
My mission is to heal my mind through yoga and to nurture my body with love. I aim to inspire my friends—and women in general—to listen to their inner voice, trust their intuition, and find proper alignment for both body and mind through daily yoga practice and positive habit changes.
Be like a tree. Stay grounded. Connect with your roots. Turn over a new leaf. Bend before you break. Enjoy your unique natural beauty. Keep growing.
Joanne Raplis
My name is Dominika, and I am a Yoga Alliance-certified yoga instructor, as well as a Birth Wisdom Yoga-certified teacher in Pregnancy & Birthing Yoga. I completed my RYT-200 teacher training at Hot Yoga Experience in Redmond in 2018 and my RYT-300 at CorePower Yoga in 2023. I am also an E-RYT 200. As a mother of three—a boy and two girls—I have experienced three natural births. I firmly believe that yoga is for everyone and that it has the power to create miracles. Its benefits are truly infinite; the only real obstacle is your mindset.
The Bird of Paradise Yoga is about finding your inner spark, embracing renewal, and giving yourself the opportunity to be reborn—stronger, wiser, and more radiant. It’s about breaking free from unhealthy patterns, reconnecting with your inner voice, achieving healthy alignment, shifting your mindset, and making yourself a priority. By doing so, you cultivate presence and are better able to serve your children and loved ones.
I see this as a lifelong journey—one of continuous growth, dedication, and transformation. The Bird of Paradise pose became my favorite as I deepened my yoga practice; it brought me so much joy and positivity that it felt like the perfect name for this blog. I strongly identify with this asana—it symbolizes rising into a new version of yourself, shining, and taking flight.
Rise. Shine. Fly.
